Dr. Timothy T. Eaton, PhD
Dr. Timothy Eaton has been a dedicated psychologist in North Dakota since 1987, when he arrived as the psychologist for the 857th Strategic Hospital at Minot Air Force Base. He later became flight commander for the base’s mental health clinic before transitioning into civilian practice.
After leaving the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Eaton briefly worked at North Central Human Service Center before founding Minot’s first hospital-based outpatient mental health clinic at what was then St. Joseph’s Hospital. He later partnered with Dr. Dion Darveaux to establish western North Dakota’s first group private practice, which grew into the region’s premier outpatient mental health clinic. Today, the clinic offers a full spectrum of psychological services, including:
For over 33 years, Eaton and Associates has served not only Minot but also clients from across North Dakota, eastern Montana, and parts of South Dakota.
Dr. Alex Eaton, PsyD
I am Dr. Alex Eaton, a licensed clinical psychologist and National Register Health Service Psychologist (HSP) dedicated to providing expert, compassionate mental health care. I earned my Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in September 2020 and have since been serving Minot and the surrounding areas with psychotherapy and psychological testing/evaluation services.
Driven by a commitment to specialized, evidence-based care, I have obtained multiple certifications in various psychological concerns to enhance my ability to support clients effectively.

Dr. Mary Solberg, PhD, LCSW
I am Mary Solberg, a licensed clinical social worker and doctor of psychology with a deep-rooted connection to North Dakota. Originally from Minot, ND, I also spent time in Williston. I am married, a proud mother, and a grandmother, with a large and loving extended family.
My journey in the field of mental health began with my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from Minot State College and the University of North Dakota. In 2013, I earned my doctorate in psychology from Walden University, further enhancing my expertise in clinical practice.
Since 2009, I have been with Eaton and Associates, initially balancing my work while in college. After completing my studies, I transitioned into private practice, where I have remained dedicated to supporting individuals on their path to healing and personal growth.
Dr. Deon Mehring, PhD
Dr. Deon Mehring is a licensed clinical psychologist in North Dakota with over 20 years of experience providing mental health therapy to the Minot community. She specializes in telehealth services, offering accessible and convenient care for young adults and adults through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform.
Dr. Mehring’s approach is centered on creating a safe and supportive space where growth, self-awareness, and healing can flourish. She views psychotherapy as an opportunity for clients to build on their strengths, develop strategies to improve self-esteem, and cultivate healthier relationships with themselves and others. Using an integrative approach, she tailors interventions to meet each client’s unique needs with sound clinical expertise.
Through confidential telehealth sessions, Dr. Mehring provides the flexibility of connecting from anywhere with internet access while maintaining the highest quality of care. As a PSYPACT provider, she can continue therapy sessions even if clients are traveling through other PSYPACT-participating states.
Dr. Mehring accepts Tricare, BCBS, Sanford, Medicare, Medicaid, and self-pay clients.
